Goldberg's Streak in 1998

Goldberg's Streak in 1998

Even after the horrible starrcade 97 ppv wcw had a real chance to rebound in 98, and they did partially because of goldberg, but they missed out on so many buyrates and ratings it blows my mind with his storyline

-hogan/goldberg why have this match with no build, my theory is hogan knew he had to lose to goldberg, so why not this time, him and rodman were in the main event at a ppv that sunday and the focus would remain on him instead of goldberg less than a week later
also it was to soon for goldberg to win the title, they should of waited atleast 3 months or maybe till starrcade to have him win it

-goldberg/ddp this match was awesome at havoc 98, this could of been a number one contenders match for the title, have the contract signing between sting/goldberg at WW3

-goldberg/sting at starrcade 98 they could of done face vs face something like hogan/warrior, this match would have goldberg win the title making him the face of the company while still making sting look strong passing the torch

they missed out on atleast 3 or 4 major buyrates on goldberg in 98-early 99, and why didn't hogan/goldberg have a rematch, that match drew huge numbers and they never had a follow up

and the fingerpook of doom was the final nail in the coffin, or very close to that, why wcw didn't do the nash/goldberg rematch or a hogan/goldberg number 1 contendor match is beyond me.
