The Miz nominated for "Most Metal Athlete" award

Revolver Magazine is holding their third annual “Golden Gods” Awards on April 20 in Los Angeles and WWE is taking the event – which premieres on VH1 Classics on May 28 – by storm.

Not only is former World Champion Chris Jerichohosting the awards show, but current WWE Champion The Miz has been nominated for “Most Metal Athlete.” The Awesome One is nominated along with the NFL’s Jeremy Shockey and MMA’s Dan Hardy.

The “Golden Gods” celebrate the year’s best in all things heavy metal and hard rock, honoring those who exemplify the culture. This year the “Golden God” award will be presented to legendary shock-rocker (andWrestleMania III participant) Alice Cooper, and the band Motley Crue will receive the “Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award.”
